Rules and Regulations - HKMAC My Desk Calendar
Art Competition 2025

通用說明：除特別註明外，本文件所載日期及時間一律以香港時間（HKT，UTC+8）為準。
General note: Unless otherwise specified, all dates and times in this document are based on Hong Kong Time (HKT, UTC+8).

1）比賽簡介與主題

  • 主題：不限主題 — 參賽者可自由發揮創意與想像。
  • 成品：所有參賽者均可獲得一套印有其參賽作品之 HKMAC 專屬設計座枱月曆（底座為可書寫記事的寫字板，可長期使用）。
  • 主辦機構：香港音樂及藝術中心 Hong Kong Music and Art Centre（HKMAC）。

2）重要日期

  • 報名／作品提交截止：2025 年 11 月 18 日（線上 23:59；郵寄以郵戳為準）
  • 結果公布：2025 年 11 月 26 日
  • 頒獎禮報名截止：2025 年 12 月 10 日
  • 頒獎禮時段分配公布：2025 年 12 月 16 日
  • 頒獎禮：2025 年 12 月 21 日

3）參賽資格與組別

  • 對象：公開參加。
  • 年齡限制：僅接受 2–18 歲之參賽者（以報名截止當日之年齡為準）。
  • 組別：採年齡組別（每一足歲為一組；2 歲組至 18 歲組）。

4）作品要求與技術規格

  • 座枱曆單頁成品尺寸：210mm（闊） × 150mm（高）。
  • 最大可印畫作範圍：100mm × 120mm（直橫皆可，按版面需要置入）。
  • 如寄交實體作品由主辦方代為掃描，允許之最大原作尺寸為 A3 或 ≤ 300mm × 420mm。
  • 數碼檔案最低要求：長邊不少於 1500 像素（直向：高度 ≥ 1500px；橫向：闊度 ≥ 1500px）。

  └ 低於此規格可能導致模糊、失真、像素化；大會將按原檔直接印刷，其後果由參賽者／家長／代表機構自負。

  └ 建議使用 300 DPI 與高品質輸出設定。

  • 色彩模式：最終以 CMYK 印刷；若提交 RGB，轉換為 CMYK 時可能出現色差，請特別留意。
  • 檔案格式：JPG（高品質）、TIFF（LZW 或無壓縮）、PDF（需嵌入字體）。
  • 內容限制：不得含違法、誹謗、歧視、色情、仇恨或其他不當／冒犯性內容。
  • 版面與色調調整：為配合印製與排版，作品可能需作尺寸調整、裁切或光暗／顏色微調；上述處理將由大會統一執行，參賽者不得異議。

5）參賽者姓名印製與資料核對

  • 座枱月曆上將印製參賽者英文姓名。
  • 參賽者／家長／監護人／任教老師／藝術機構有責任核對確認電郵（Email）上的姓名是否正確。
  • 提交截止日後申請更改姓名，須繳付行政費 HK$160（因需重新製作座枱月曆及進行印前處理）。

6）作品提交方式

  • 線上提交：於官方線上報名表上載作品檔案（檔名建議：組別_姓名_作品題名）。

  └ 如以拍照方式提交，請務必確保光線充足、無陰影，畫面端正、避免反光與偏色，以免影響輸出品質。

  • 郵寄提交（如適用）：請妥善包裝並以可追蹤方式寄送；地址及包裝指引以報名表或官網公告為準。
  • 逾期：逾期或不完整遞交，恕不受理。

7）評審與獎項

  • 評審機制：由主辦單位指定之評審團進行（評審決定為最終依歸，任何人不得異議）。
  • 評分標準與獎項：請瀏覽 https://www.hkmac.art/judging-and-prize/；每組設冠、亞、季軍、金、銀、銅獎及優異獎，每位參賽者均可獲得證書。

8）頒獎禮安排

  • 邀請對象：所有得獎者（各組冠、亞、季軍、金、銀、銅獎及優異獎）均獲邀出席。
  • 日期：2025 年 12 月 21 日
  • 地點：Paragon 有利中心 4 樓，觀塘
  • 現場展示：設有得獎作品展示。
  • 報名與費用：如欲出席頒獎禮，須於 2025 年 12 月 10 日或之前完成登記並繳付 HK$300（包括參與頒獎禮及獲頒獎盃）。
  • 月曆派發：出席者可於頒獎禮當日在會場領取座枱月曆。

9）版權、授權與原創保證

  • 原創性保證：參賽者保證作品為本人原創；如涉抄襲／侵權或任何爭議，責任由參賽者自負。
  • 所有權與使用權：提交作品即表示同意將作品所有權轉讓予主辦方。主辦方有權作宣傳與發行用途，包括但不限於活動背景、海報／傳單、官網、社交媒體及其他數碼平台之展示與推廣。

10）作品展出與退還（僅適用於提交實體原作）

  • 退還安排：如於報名表「申請作品退還」，作品將於展覽結束後一個月內退還。
  • 逾期申請費用：截止後申請作品發還，須繳 HK$100 逾期手續費 + HK$50 作品發還費（合共 HK$150）；主辦方得拒絕任何逾期申請。
  • 運送風險：主辦方將盡力妥善包裝及寄送；惟郵寄途中仍可能發生損壞或遺失，主辦方無法承擔相關責任。

11）私隱與個人資料

  • 本會尊重私隱；所收集之個人資料僅用於比賽聯絡及本會活動推廣。

12）取消資格

  • 如提交不當或冒犯性作品、提供不實資料、未依技術規格或違反本規則與準則，主辦方得取消其參賽資格，無需另行通知；任何已繳費用恕不退還。

13）其他條款

  • 主辦機構擁有本比賽一切安排之最終決定權。
  • 提交報名即表示了解並同意所有條款。
  • 規則如有修訂，以官網最新公告為準，恕不另行通知。
  • 海報與網站上的圖片僅供參考；實際座枱月曆或會因生產需要而作出調整。

 

 

English Version

1) Overview & Theme

  • Theme: Open theme — participants are free to create and imagine without restriction.
  • Deliverable: Every participant will receive one HKMAC–designed desk calendar printed with their own artwork (the base doubles as a writable memo board for long-term use).
  • Organizer: Hong Kong Music and Art Centre (HKMAC).

2) Key Dates

  • Application / Artwork Submission Deadline: 18 November 2025 (online 23:59; postal submissions judged by postmark)
  • Results Announcement: 26 November 2025
  • Award Presentation Registration Deadline: 10 December 2025
  • Time Slot Allocation Announcement: 16 December 2025
  • Award Presentation: 21 December 2025

3) Eligibility & Groups

  • Who can join: Open to the public.
  • Age limit: 2–18 years old, calculated on the application deadline date.
  • Grouping: One age per group (age 2 through age 18). Final grouping details are subject to the official website.

4) Artwork Requirements & Technical Specs

  • Calendar page finished size: 210 mm (W) × 150 mm (H).
  • Maximum printable artwork area: 100 mm × 120 mm (portrait or landscape; placed to fit the layout).
  • If sending a physical original for scanning: maximum accepted original size A3 or ≤ 300 mm × 420 mm.
  • Digital submission minimum: Longer side ≥ 1500 pixels (Portrait: height ≥ 1500 px; Landscape: width ≥ 1500 px).

  └ Submissions below this may print blurry/pixelated. Files will be printed as-is; any resulting issues are the participant’s responsibility.

  └ Recommended: 300 DPI and high-quality output settings.

  • Color mode: Final production is CMYK. RGB submissions will be converted to CMYK and color shifts may occur — please note.
  • File formats: JPG (high quality), TIFF (LZW or uncompressed), or PDF (with fonts embedded).
  • Content restrictions: No unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, sexual, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate/offensive content.
  • Production adjustments: To fit printing and layout needs, the Organizer may resize, crop, or adjust brightness/color. These adjustments will be carried out by the Organizer and shall not be subject to objection.

5) Participant Name Printing & Data Verification

  • The calendar will print the participant’s English name.
  • The participant/parent/guardian/art teacher/art school is responsible for verifying the name is correct in the confirmation email.
  • Name change after the submission deadline requires an administrative fee of HK$160 (because the desk calendar must be remade and prepress updated).

6) How to Submit

  • Online: Upload via the official online application form (suggested filename: Group_Name_ArtworkTitle).

  └ If submitting a photo of the artwork, please ensure adequate lighting and no shadows, keep the image straight, and avoid glare or color cast.

  • By post (if applicable): Pack securely and use a trackable service; address and packing instructions will follow the application form/website.
  • Late/incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

7) Judging & Awards

  • Judging: Conducted by a judging panel appointed by the Organizer. Decisions are final and binding.
  • Criteria & awards: See https://www.hkmac.art/judging-and-prize/. For each group: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up; Gold, Silver, Bronze Awards; and Merit Awards. All participants will receive a certificate.

8) Award Presentation

  • Invitees: All winners (Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up; Gold, Silver, Bronze; and Merit) will be invited.
  • Date: 21 December 2025
  • Venue: Paragon, 4/F, Yau Lee Centre, Kwun Tong
  • On-site display: Winning artworks will be exhibited on site.
  • Registration & fee: To attend, winners must register and pay HK$300 on or before 10 December 2025 (includes ceremony participation and a trophy).
  • Calendar collection: Attendees may collect their desk calendar at the venue on the day.

9) Copyright, License & Originality

  • Originality warranty: The participant warrants the entry is original and does not infringe any third-party rights; the participant bears all liabilities arising from disputes.
  • Ownership & usage: Submission constitutes transfer of ownership of the work to the Organizer. The Organizer may use the work for promotional and publication purposes, including but not limited to event backdrops, printed materials (flyers/posters), website, social media, and other digital platforms.

10) Exhibition & Return of Works (physical originals only)

  • Return option: If “apply for artwork return” is selected in the application form, the work will be returned within one month after the exhibition ends.
  • Late application fees: Late applications require HK$100 late handling fee + HK$50 return fee (total HK$150). The Organizer may refuse late applications.
  • Shipping risk: The Organizer will pack and dispatch with care, but is not liable for damage or loss during transit.

11) Privacy & Personal Data

  • The Organizer respects privacy. Data collected will be used only for competition communication and HKMAC event promotion.

12) Disqualification

  • The Organizer may disqualify entries for inappropriate/offensive content, false information, non-compliance with technical specs, or breaches of these rules without prior notice. Any fees paid are non-refundable in case of disqualification.

13) Other Terms

  • The Organizer reserves the final right of decision on all arrangements.
  • By submitting an application, you acknowledge and agree to all terms herein.
  • Rules are subject to change; the latest version on the official website shall prevail, without prior notice.
  • Images on posters and the website are for reference only; the actual desk calendar may be adjusted to meet production needs.
